“In Search of Life” is reminder that no matter where you may travel around the world, there will always be friends and family to welcome you back home.
IN SEARCH OF LIFE
If you go away to foreign lands,
Wandering aimlessly across alien sands,
In search of all the scattered strands
Of Life, with all its unjust demands.
The search could lead you anywhere,
Could show you depths of bleak despair
And burdens you could never bear,
Unless with someone else you share.
If, in your search, you cannot find
The happiness or the peace of mind
In which you seek to be entwined,
The blame is yours, and not mankind.
Men and women have been, since Time begun
Quite selfish creatures, designed as one
Who uses others, is quick to shun
The helpless, in their search for fun.
So, heed this warning, e’re you dare
To stalk this planet, head in air,
Searching for life without despair,
Hoping a part of yourself to share.
When people look into your eyes
They see, deep in those foreign skies
A yearning that you cannot disguise,
For solace from this world of lies.
In every heart, if you have the key,
Lies the answer to this mystery
Of why people strive for eternity.
It is there you will find your destiny.
If, in your search, you abandon stealth,
And give quite freely of yourself,
You will discover a hidden wealth,
In every corner, on every shelf.
If by chance, you cease to roam,
On foreign shores, your feelings known,
Recall the message of this tome.
Love always waits for you …. at home.
